In this regards, there are many organizations and institutions offering grants for deaf and hard of hearing in terms of schooling, hearing aid and many more. The Dorothy E. Ann Fund or simply the D.E.A.F.

The D.E.A.F. is a funding program established to give assistance to schools, education agencies and organizations that work in the fortification of the potential as well as providing optimistic growth opportunities for the youth who are hard of hearing or deaf. The D.E.A.F. is a program managed by The Columbus Foundation. There are several grant opportunities offered by the D.E.A.F., and currently it is the ‘Technology that Supports Literary’ or simply the TSL that they offer. Hear Now

Hear Now is a program that is nationally and non-for-profit. The program is aimed to assist people permanently residing in the U.S. and is deaf or hard of hearing. Moreover, they must have no other resources in acquiring hearing aids. Sertoma Scholarships for Hard of Hearing or Deaf

The Sertoma Scholarship for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing is open to students with clinically major bilateral hearing loss. The students must be a senior and graduating from high school; undergraduate students who pursue any four-year college degrees are eligible. The program will award cash grant amounting to $1,000 and it must be utilized for school expenses. The deadline for application is on May 1, 2011.
