Grants for CPA or Certified Public Accountants

Being a Certified Public Accountant or CPA is one of the most fulfilling jobs today. This is also one of the highest earning careers . Many students are looking forward to a career as a CPA; however, not students have the means to take this degree. Good thing there are scholarship grants for CPAs which these students can apply for.

Government Finance Officers Association or GFOA Scholarship Grants

The Government Finance Officers Association or simply the GFOA is currently sponsoring three scholarship grants for all students taking up accounting majors in the schools located all over the United States and Canada. These students must be willing to have their career under government finances. The three grant programs are as follows:

  • Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship – awards $10,000 cash grant for graduating students majoring in accounting.
  • Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting Scholarship – awards $5,000 cash grant to all students majoring in accounting degree.
  • Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship – awards also $5,000 cash grant to all accounting students belonging to the minority.

Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants Scholarships

The Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants or MSCPA is offering scholarship grants to CPA students, both undergraduate and graduate. This scholarship program is managed by Educational Foundation of the MSCPA. The cash assistance must be utilized directly to the receiving students for the expenses in his/her tuition, interviewing expenses, books and so on. American Institute of CPA Accountemps Student Scholarship

The American Institute of CPA or AICPA is offering their Accountemps Student Scholarship, in which the scholarship grants amount to $2,500 and the deadline is on the 1st of April, 2011. The grant is available to all students taking up accounting, major. Other requirements includes completion of 30 semester hours as the minimum of coursework in the college.
