USDA Recovery Act Grants

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 sponsored by the USDA aims to strengthen the country’s falling economy by putting the Americans back to work. The USDA aims to provide funding to farmers to ensure that they can contribute well to the local community. They will also be awarded grants to preserve critical infrastructure in the communities within the country as well as to implement new conservation measures for resources.

The Recovery Act will give the USDA with almost $28 billion to use and specifically $173 million of these will be used to fund projects and grants in Farm Operating Direct Loans to numerous farmers across the nation. This will give farmers the necessary capital to purchase equipments, feeds, seeds, and other needed expenses to prevent letting the farmlands die.
