Grants for Athletic Teams Making Champions

Sports and athletic grants are not just given to individual athletes; these are also offered to sports and athletic teams. Grants are awarded so that the recipients may excel more in their field, promote sportsmanship among athletes, involvement of the athletes to its communities, empowering youth, supporting the cause of cooperation and camaraderie among others. GoGirlGo! Grants

There are certain grants in which are awarded to recognize high school athletic teams that are able to show leadership in their communities they belong through inspiring the females to be involved in the world of sports. This is the GoGirlGo! program under the supervision of Women’s Sports Foundation and in cooperation with Gatorade. The grants are open for schools and amateur teams that are all-female and enrolled in grades 9 to 12 residing in the US. About $50,000 cash grants will be awarded to 20 sports team and that will be $2,500 each recipient. Coopervision Awards Program Grants

Private companies such as the CooperVision are also awarding grants in their own programs. The Coopervision Awards Program is providing grants to youth athletes in their field of sports that will help them to become successful. The program is awarding $2,500 grant in 10 recipients under the Gear Up Grant funding. The program was recognized in advance to this year as an ingredient of the company’s so-called Contact Sports initiative that carries on to assist young athletes as well as the teams to have the needed equipment in order to succeed while they are promoting the importance of having healthy eyes.

LA84 Sports Foundation Grants

There is also another foundation that awards grants for athletic teams. This is the LA84 Sports Foundation. The aim of this foundation is to bring on the Los Angeles Olympic Games of 1984 and its spirit. The foundation is awarding a total of $2 million cash and equipment grants per year to the teams in located at the eight counties of Southern California. The foundation is more on giving an exceptional importance on Los Angeles. Interested organizations that want to apply for the said grants should be able to provide ongoing and sports programs for the youth that are structured. The team should have youth members, aged from 6 to 17.
