Green Your School Challenge

The “Green Your School Challenge” is a combined project of HP and the DoSomething.org. The aim of this project is to protect the environment by fighting the climate change. In order to apply for this program, applicants must first be enrolled in a participating school and register there. This is a group challenge in which applicant must email the challenge to his/her friends or classmates in order to join. You can send the e-mails to your 10 friends by going directly to http://www.dosomething.org/green-your-school. Applicants must search for the right ideas so that they can get start now. The projects must be submitted to the enrolled schools from the 1st of February until the 1st of April. Browse the said website for the complete details of the challenge. Four winners will receive $1,000 cash grant plus a laptop computer (HP Pavilion DM1) and one will receive the $5,000 cash grant plus five laptop computers of the same model as above. Back to School Literacy Grants

The Back to School Literacy Grants is a program by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation that provides the needed fund that will give assistance to the school libraries as well as media centers in keeping up with the challenges financial in the implementation or expansion of the programs for literacy, for buying technological equipments such as computers that will support initiatives for literacy programs and other materials such as software and books.
