Teachers for a Competitive Tomorrow: Grants for Baccalaureate Degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Critical Foreign Languages with Concurrent Teacher Certification aims to award grants to develop and implement programs that provide courses of study in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or critical foreign languages (STEM or CFL) that are integrated with teacher education and lead to a baccalaureate degree with concurrent teacher certification in one of the specified content fields.

Who are Eligible to Apply for STEM or CFL Grants?

Institutions of higher education that receive a grant on behalf of a department of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a critical foreign language, or on behalf of a department or school that offers a competency-based degree program (in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a critical foreign language) that includes teacher certification.

How to Apply for STEM or CFL Grants?

Potential grantees of STEM or CFL Grants must electronically submit an application responding to the selection criteria for the program and adhering to specific formatting requirements.

Applicants must describe in detail how the grant will be administered as well as how the grant activities will produce highly qualified teachers in the specified content areas.

Preapplication coordination is also required. Each institution must submit an application covering up to five years of program implementation.
