Applied behavior analysis (ABA) refers to the science of controlling and predicting human behavior. It rejects hypothetical constructs and focuses instead on the observable relationship between behavior and the environment. The methods of ABA aim to change a behavior by functionally assessing the relationship between a targeted behavior and the environment.
Applied behavioral analysis therapy has been proven to help autistic children communicate and make them able to cope with their world. It helps parents deal with children with autism whose care can seriously affect the family’s finances because of the need to shoulder payments for the services of caretakers, special school, and therapists. It is a great help for parents that there are now available grants for ABA therapy, making the burden of caring for a child with autism a little bit lighter.
The Parker Autism Foundation is a leading organization that offers grants to children that are diagnosed with autism to enable them to have participation in ABA therapy. The grants for ABA therapy are made available to those children who are diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Funds granted by the Parker Autism Foundation can be used for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions and for the purchase of materials needed by the autistic child for the home and the school. The Parker Autism Foundation offers grants for children to avail of ABA therapy while attending summer camps.
