What is Avista Foundation Grants?

The Avista Foundation is the Avista Utilities community investment program. It was created to provide funds to non-profit organizations that address the needs of citizens and communities that are served by Avista Utilities in northern Idaho, eastern Washington, Sanders County in Montana and portions of Southern Oregon.

The Avista Foundation included also a matching gift program for the Avista Utilities employees.

Who are eligible for Avista Foundation Grants?

The Avista Foundation considers many factors in determining the eligibility of a program or organization that it will fund.

To be considered eligible the organization must:

  • Qualify for tax exemption under the IRS and provide a copy of its determination letter under 501(c)(3)
  • Show an impact on an area of Avista Foundation’s interest
  • Should benefit citizens and communities in the geographic areas that are served by Avista Utilities

How to apply for Avista Foundation Grants?

Qualified organization applying for the grant must accomplish the application form of the Avista Foundation Grant. It is accessible online by clicking the link “Grant Application”. The applications will be reviewed every quarter in the months of February, May, November and August. Organizations may submit their applications anytime.
