Grants for Aviation

A career in aviation is a very promising one. However, the quality education for aviation is a little bit expensive and not all can afford. Good thing, there are grants for aviation in which deserving students that are in need financially can apply. Scholarship grants can come from the federal government, private organizations, institutions, foundations and even individuals. The Air Traffic Control Association Grants

The Air Traffic Control Association or simply ATCA is offering different scholarships grants to students of aviation, the science of it, air traffic control as well as other aviation discipline. These scholarships are all open to aspiring students who are pursuing baccalaureate degree or higher degree in the aviation program. The typical cash grant of the scholarship is between $1,500 up to $2,500. The deadline of the application is on May 1 annually. ATCA accepts several scholars and it varies yearly. The National Aviation Explorer scholarship Grants

The National Aviation Explorer scholarship is offering general scholarship for aviation students. NAE is offering different types of scholarships and these are: avionics, pilot certificate, maintenance and management. The applicants must be first an active member of the aviation Explorer. He/she must be of legal age, or with the approval of the parents or guardian if not yet 18 years old, must submit three recommendation letters and a 500-word essay stating your plans on how to use the scholarship. The NAE is awarding cash grants of $3,000 and up to $10,000 per year.

The deadline for local application is on March 31 every year, while national application is on May 1 every year. Application form is available online at their website.
