Grants for Automotive Students

Students studying about automotive can study without worrying about the expenses in their schooling. There are scholarships grants for automotive students in which they can apply for. The grants usually cover the expenses of automotive schooling such as tuition, allowances and books. Since these are grants, there is no need to make re-payment of the money granted. Instead, students have to maintain high grades.

Society of Automotive Engineers Grants

The SAE or the Society of Automotive Engineers is offering different scholarships grants in order to give support to automotive students, particularly in the first year of college.

SAE Engineering Scholarship Grants

The SAE Engineering Scholarship in cooperation with automotive maker giant BMW is awarding cash grant of $1,500. Deserving freshman student taking up automotive engineering must be a citizen of the US and having a high school grade point average (GPA) of no less than 3.75. The scholarship grant is renewable until he/she graduates or for additional three more years.

TMC / SAE Donald D. Dawson Technical Scholarship Grants

Another scholarship grant of SAE is the TMC / SAE Donald D. Dawson Technical Scholarship. This program is offering annual scholarship grant of $1,500 to automotive student. The needed GPA in high school is no less than 3.25, as of 2010, and the grant is renewable for three more years.

Automotive Hall of Fame Grants

Another scholarship grantor is the Automotive Hall of Fame. This organization is making different scholarships to be available for students who are pursuing automotive course degree or even certification.

Larry H. Averill Memorial Scholarship Grants

One of their scholarships is called the Larry H. Averill Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship aims to support undergraduate student of automotive degree that is in upper level and has a GPA of no less than 3.0. Another scholarship is the M.H. Yager Memorial Scholarship that is also offered to upperclassmen undergraduate student having GPA of 3.4 or higher.

Charles V. Hagler Scholarship Grants

Next, the Charles V. Hagler Scholarship is made available to a single automotive undergraduate student with GPA of 3.0 or higher and is indeed need financial assistance. The scholarships offered by the Automotive Hall of Fame differ in the amount given. Annually, the deadline for scholarship application is always on the 1st day of June 1.
