Grants for Breast Cancer Education

Educating the people towards what is breast cancer, its cure and how to prevent it is a good way to fight breast cancer. After all, the best way to avoid breast cancer is to be educated about it. Breast cancer education is just not about that, for women who have been devastated by this cancer and able to survive, there is still life waiting for them. Organizations that are private and non-profit are offering grants for breast cancer education in which the assistance can be used for educating people about the cancer as well as helping young girls who survived the cancer in getting back to school again.

Education and Outreach Grants

The Breast Cancer Alliance or the BCA with its Education and Outreach Grants support other programs that directly assist outreach programs and services for breast cancer management and prevention. These services include education, counseling and mammogram tests that will help underserved as well as uninsured patients. The application deadline for the grant is on the 31st of July, 2011 and non-profit organizations that are based from mid to southern Connecticut area going to Westchester County are very eligible. Miles for Hope Scholarships for Students

The Miles for Hope Scholarships are the program started by Miles for Hope organization intended for graduating high school students who’s devastated by breast cancer. The scholarship will help students in their studies. Eligible students must be residents from the following counties of New York: Westchester, Ulster, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Greene, Dutchess and Columbia. The cash grant is $1,000 to all recipients. The deadline for application is on the 1st of April, 2011. Applicants must show proof that their life is affected by the breast cancer.
