Grants for Accessibility

Our concern for the welfare of others, especially those with physical handicaps has brought us to create the American with Disabilities Act. The Act makes sure that buildings and other facilities can easily be accessed by persons with disabilities. The ADA has provisions that direct commercial facilities and public accommodations to comply with accessible design standards. Included in the provisions are banks, stadiums, movie theaters, restaurants, medical offices, health care facilities, groceries and convenience stores. To help those to whom these provisions apply, there are grants for accessibility that they can apply for. They can use the funds to make sure that their facilities comply with accessibility requirements.
