What is Albertsons Community Investment Grant ?

The Albertsons Community Investment shows that the heart of their giving to charity is how a good citizen should perform their ongoing corporate responsibility. The foundation helps in the creation of stronger communities, in the hope of enhancing the quality of life of its customers and associates. As a good neighbor to the customers they have in countless communities spread all over Western United States, the company aims to provide for them beyond the confines of their stores.

Who are eligible for Albertsons Community Investment Grant?

Albertsons will assess all requests based on these criteria:

  • A precise program description
  • Quality delivery of essential service
  • Predictable results and its evaluation
  • Fiscal and capable management in carrying out the program
  • Broad-based support of the community
  • Competency and qualification of staff and board
  • Benefits it will bring to a significant portion of the community with focus particularly on disadvantaged and at-risk populations
  • Associate volunteer opportunities

Albertsons in general, does not support:

  • Individuals
  • Research or travel expenses
  • Fees for the participation in programs that are competitive
  • Organizations that receive 30% or more of their funds from United Way
  • Political, lobbying or religious programs
  • Non-tax exempt organizations under the IRS Tax code Section 501(c)(3)

How to apply for Albertsons Community Investment Grant?

If your organization is non-profit send your completed grant application, W-9 and a copy of the 501(c)(3) letter to the address below. The grant requests must contain all the pertinent information or the request would not be reviewed.

It may take 6 weeks for all requests to be reviewed. If the request for the grant involves an event, the request must be sent 8 weeks or more before the date of the event.

Based on the organization’s geographical location choose the proper address for the application.
