Scholarships Grants for Being Black

When it comes to education, there must be no such things are minority or majority. All individuals have the rights to study and get quality education. Whether you are white or black, you must know that it is your right to have proper education and to have a bright career. For minorities such as black students in the US, there are specific grants for being black offered by some organizations.

The Computer Science Corporation (CSC) / United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Program

The Computer Science Corporation Is sponsoring a UNCF program towards STEM. This CSC/UNCF STEM program is awarding cash grants to sophomore college students as well as to the graduate students with a Grade Point Average of 3.2 or better and taking up computer-related courses such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT, Mathematics and so on. Eligible students must attend to the colleges or universities affiliated with UNCF as well as Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The cash assistance is up to $5,000. Application process is done and completed online. Chevron International Studies Scholarships for 2011

The Chevron through its charitable arm and with the National Society of Black Engineers is awarding the Chevron International Studies Scholarships to students that excel academically. This scholarship is open internationally. Eligible students are those members of the NSBE International, with at least 3.0 GPA and all undergraduate students. Students must be taking up Engineering and Applied Sciences degrees. Essay (250 words) about how the applicants will sue the money, online application in the NSBE IMPAK, TORs and resume are the requirements. The cash assistance that will be awarded is $3,000 to 20 students. The deadline is on the 30th of June, 2011. Submit other requirements at:
