Secondary Education, Two-Year Postsecondary Education, and Agriculture in the K-12 Classroom Challenge Grants

The program sponsored by the USDA and NIFA aims to promote and strengthen the secondary education and two-year postsecondary education in agribusiness and agriscience so as to promote and preserve the quality of the workforce engaging in the agricultural system. They do this by providing a synergistic link between secondary and postsecondary education programs in the food and agricultural sciences so as to advance the competency level of the workforce entering agriculture as well as to encourage more Americans to pursue a degree in this field.
