Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG)

The Conservation Innovation Grant program (CIG) is a program that aims to encourage the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies while making use of Federal investment to promote environmental enhancement and protection to be used in agriculture. The grants awarded will be given to non-Federal governmental or non-governmental organizations, Tribes, or individuals that match the aims of the program.

By providing grants to these people or groups, the CIG will enable the Natural Resources Conservation Service to work with public and private entities to hasten the transfer and adoption of technologies to address the country’s urgent concerns regarding natural resources.
